Run report for run no 57 - Mofl’s motley meander
It was a crispy night in Brinsmead for a Harriettes run. The good size pack started off up the cul-de-sac and wandered aimlessly in and out of the streets and parks of Brinsmead. We were under strict instructions from Hare Mofl to follow our own trail and not get mixed up in any other hash clubs’ previous trail. We dutifully did, there were a few good checks and we even managed find the drinks stop. It was on home with a bit of a twist and then up the hill and back along the pathway to the circle. Some wonderful nosh followed many charges, with reports back from Harriettes Inter hash tour and the post lube in Vietnam. Next month’s run will be Duchess’s last Heavenly Harriettes run as they leave for pastures down south. The November run will be the 5th birthday celebration run
Well done Mofl. On On

Run report for run no 56 - Handbrake’s handy ‘hood tour
The ever faithful Harriettes turned out Handbrakes Mooroobool meander, even though many of the regulars were away in Kuching at Interhash. The trail was easily spotted and well marked in and around the delightful sights of Mooroobool and Whitfield. We kept meandering until we thought we were so far from home we wouldn’t make it back when a vision of the drink stop appeared in the dark at the bottom of McManus St. Just as well, as we were running out of breath due to the marathon set by Handbrake. After the refreshments it was back ‘on keg’ the shortest way home. A good spread of roast chicken and fresh garden salad greeted us back at the circle. Spread’em added an international flavor with her mum rolling up as the sacrificial virgin!! Handbrake rated a high score for such a long trail and many charges followed Well done ……………..

Run report for run no 55
What a beautiful night for a Harriettes run – a balmy 25 degrees and on the waterfront. We trundled off away into the streets and parks of North Cairns, wandering around here and there until we came out by the night markets. A couple of short cutters turned back but the rest of the pack went on a shopping delight – good that we had no money otherwise we would have just stayed shopping! Finally out the other side onto the esplanade and all the tourists. A drink stop awaited us on the board walk with wonderful views over the harbor lights, and then it was back along the esplanade to the circle. Mole`s nosh was yummy quiche/frittata and fresh salad, followed by fruit cake and butterfly cakes. We had 2 virgins in Annie and Karen who enjoyed the festivities. Charges were a plenty and Ole` was awarded her Harriettes ‘H’ for cumming 24 times

Betty Boop’s Booped out trail - run report for run 54

A rather energetic pack assembled on the deck at Forest Gardens in the fading light. Trail started off very clearly in and around the duck pond and out onto the highway. We toured around the school grounds and came out on Sundew Close. Well, I think Betty Boop out booped us all with the longest falsie I’ve seen for years. Little did we know that trail went out on to Anderson Street and we were supposed to follow it back through Woree and in to the heights of Forest Gardens. Maybe the front runners were too busy talking…….. and decided the shortest distance between 2 points was of course, a Harriettes Hash Trail. Unfortunately Betty Boop was still at the drink stop waiting for the pack to arrive. Crunchie Crack used modern technology to make sure she arrived back safely. It was all worth it when we arrived back at the circle. Some great nosh awaited all and the circle was run by Crunchie Crack and guest Archangel Dancing Queen. There were returnees and many charges but I can’t remember any of them, except that Koty has finally made it to 24 Heavenly Hash runs – Congratulations. On On

Plaything’s Placid Prance Run report for run no 53
The weather wasn’t in Plaything’s favour but the powers that be must have been listening at least for a short time. A jolly good pack left Tahlia Street with cryptic clues as to the direction of the trail. We were instructed not to ‘short cut’ and make sure we opened our directions in the correct order!! We wandered in and out of Caravonica and around the Lake Placid’s bush line. A few regroups to keep us all together and finally ended up at the drink stop on the banks of the Barron River in the twilight. Then it was on home. Up till this point the rain had been kind, but that didn't last all the way home. On round the last leg back to Tahlia Street, the rains came down and most Harriettes ended up a bit wetter than when we started!! We welcomed some returnees and also the newest and youngest Harriette – Amber – Playthings new little baby girl. There were charges and songs and generally an amusing time was had by all. Some scrumptious apricot chicken for nosh and lots of talking followed!! (surprise surprise) Well done Plaything. ON ON

Late news just in…. DV8 had a baby girl Grace on Easter Saturday so congratulations – Harriette and daughter doing just fine. Now our youngest Harriette.

Wiggles Wiley Wambling Walk - Run report for run No 52

The harriettes ventured to Wiggles' delightful abode for what is always a lovely affair. Leaving Solomon Close, in the depths of Brinsmead for what turned out to be a mystery run. Our clever Wiggles plotted a challenging trail and also a challenge for harriettes brain (some would say nothing is too difficult for a wily and smart Harriette!)
With enveloped clues in hand the pack left Maison wiggles and instantly went the wrong way. back on trail clue number 1 revealed a haul along the cane track path, to Longden Dr. Clue 2 sing a fine hash hymn to a hasher living on said drive. Clue 3- up the huge hill to Greendale close (sing another hash pair a hymn), on up still further to a tennis court (who knew!). Clue 4 revealed more giant hill onto Greenock Way and yes clue 5 up even more further up the hill.
Twisty and Tutti were seen to protest loudly, plaything and Handbrake protested quietly, Olay didn't protest at all, Bobcat didn't bob about. Hand maiden handled it all admirably, Mole meandered, Nommy managed it all with great aplomb, duchess was dignified and Betty bounced along. Wiggles waited and
appeared with much needed drink stop.
Back at chez Wiggles' the pool cooled, drinks drunk, nosh noshed on. Our illustrious new GM Crunchy Crack welcomed us all and our Arch Angel for this month, Handbrake proceeded with proceedings. Many charges were laid and happily accepted. What they were for is a mystery except Nom De Plume for
keeping such a low profile. Another fine Harriettes evening was had by all.
Returnees: Twisted Sista, Bobcat, Handmaiden, Ole`, Duchess and Tutti Frutti. Twisty charged Wiggles for such a long run. Plaything charged Twisty for opening No.2 note too soon and Mole for talking the group into short-cutting the No.1 instructions. Tutti charged Kotex for not being a very good GPS at finding trail.

AGPU – Splash and Dash - Run report no 51

Our first ever AGPU after 50 runs.  A good time for a revolt. The pack set off on a relatively tame DASH around all corners of the surrounding parkland working up that thirst for champagne and earning the SPLASH in the pool. When we were finally allowed to jump in the pool we had to do more work for the champagne. Dancing Queen and Alex made us swim with big wobbly bits between our legs and other wobbly bits between other parts of our anatomy. We splashed up and we splashed down the length of the pool and did a fair bit of splashing in between. It was lots of fun and a different way to set a hash run. Then it was down to business – There was a revolution. After all the fighting, name calling, pushing and overthrowing….. Crunchie Crack survived victorious and is the NEW Grand Mattress for Cairns Harriettes Heavenly Hash!!. There were charges aplenty from hijincks in the pool and even for those Harriettes who can’t seem to follow trail. Great nosh followed with a few champers and drinks had for all.

50 RUNS… AND COUNTING DOWN FROM THERE
And the Hare said it was a short run ….. The pack (with many latecomers) started off up along Greenslopes St and wandered in and out of Edge Hill. Finally thinking we were close the drink stop at the RFDS but no, just a long falsie through the grass. Found the drink stop in a delightful little park on Upper Pease Street and even had lollipops. Then it was back via the Botanical Gardens and the boardwalk, past Cecil the Crocodile and back to the on on. We took over the BBQ area and kicked out the tourists !! They didn’t really mind.
It was party time so out with the party hats, champagne, some lovely fresh fruit to sooth our thirst and then the circle. We had 2 virgins, we couldn’t decide if Mrs VD was virgin or a returnee or so we charged her anyway. Nosh was great meat and salad wraps.
Next months run is to be the Heavenly Hash AGPU Splash and Dash at the Edmonton swimming pool.
All Ladies welcome so bring a friend

4th Birthday Celebration Run 49 & Dinner at Kanis

A mixed bunch of hashers started off from the Lagoon and wandered around the city and marina. Some were suitably attired for a birthday run and some well….. let’s not go there. The heavens opened (as they do on a Heavenly Hash run) so we headed back to Kanis a little damper than when we started out. A great meal, plenty of champagne, lots of raffles and prizes and a Happy Birthday good time was had by all.

As usual Wiggles had some scrumptious nosh in meatballs and gourmet salad.

Run report from run 46
August 25 2009

It was a record for DV8. Her first Hare Harriettes and it wasn’t raining so we knew we were in for a memorable night!! A good size pack turned up to wander aimlessly through the streets of Stratford. It was down and around and around another corner, across through the park and around the other corner . Drink stop was held up the hill near the horse paddock. It was back to on home and some great nosh. As a special occasion DV8 cooked nosh not Blanx but that’s because she was practicing cooking for a larger family, as there is an addition coming to the along due in March – Congratulations DV8 and Blanx for increasing the aussie population. Charges were a plenty with a goodbye charge to Crunchie Crack off to see the sights of Europe for a couple of months. Charges to VD on her impending nuptials and all were invited to witness the event with a honeymoon in Vanuatu no less!! All other charges seemed insignificant compared to these awesome coming events!! Our 4th birthday celebration run is in November so start thinking of a venue!! On On

Run report from run 45
July 29 2009

Maid Marion set a cracking trail in and around Edge Hill. Most Harriettes found trail except for the part we missed but that was boycotting past Oops’s in protest. Good long trail and eventually we made it back to the circle. Lucky for Oops she wasn’t there because she would have been charged on behalf of CRC for forgetting to pay the electricity bill on the BBQs. MM’s nosh was great and still warm so went down a treat. We had a virgin Harriette Karina, a couple of visitors Stumbles and Wetchek, and returnee Bouncer joined the pack and they were duly charged along with every other Harriette. Wiggles was heard to say ‘mmm… what’s that cider?’ and then received another down down for repeating herself. Our 4th birthday celebration run is in November so start thinking of a venue!! On On
