6th Birthday Run

An excited pack rolled up to the popular Thais Coins Restaurant on Mulgrave Road suitably sky blue attired harriettes arrived and invitees (man harriettes) who made the effort to wear harriette thirts or blue shirts. This made them look just like the real thing so nobody could tell they were imposters. The trail was set so off the pack went .some returned early while others followed all trail and once returned into the keg the pack got. much socialising and jocularity and champagne quaffing while enjoying tasty nibbles. Awhile later crunchy convened the circle and the fun began. Many charges came thick and fast and much champagne was drunk. Scribe can’t exactly remember what they were but they were fun and keg mistress moley made sure the down downs arrived promptly. Hairy harriettes were duly welcomed to the circle. CONDOM, NOTYET  GANG BANG, MCTAF ,LOSTY and probably a few others but scribe had drunk champagne by then so it’s all a bit blurry. Returnee harriette swampy was welcomed and the circle continued .it was good to see the return of Noway after illness and still the fun rolled on. Raffle prizes were drawn and the rather well drawn male model endured many a poking and prodding of the comedy willy to help identify the raffle prize winners. By this time Bumpa stikher had recovered from her bicycle fall which occurred on the way to the event even before any champagne had been consumed. Nommy gave her approval for the amount of fun she had during the evening and the pack enjoyed fabulous freshly prepared Thai nosh which kept on coming thick and fast. Lots of laughing champagne, frivolity and harriette antics made for a great birthday party. ON ON

Tutti Fruttie at Woree - run 71

MOFL's MEANDER - RUN 70
Heavenly Hash gets blown away!!
A large pack of Harriettes turned up on the Esplanade for MOFL’s farewell run….. for a while. We headed out the north end and wandered aimlessly around and around. Luckily we found lots of trail and no body got lost!! The wind was ferocious and we had to hang to each other in case we were blown away – not bad for a Harriett. Fantastic night for a run along the boardwalk and Esplanade great to see so many people about. There was also some eye candy to keep us amused. We had a couple of returnees in Plaything and VD and a visitor in Long Time Cumming fro Angeles City. There were many charged given out tonight, the 69th raffle was won by Handbrake and it was all topped if by great nosh as MOFL did the 5 loaves and 2 fished things and fed the thousands .

Cairns Harriettes & Cairns Bike Hash 69 Run

AGPU Cairns Bowls Club - run 67

Barefoot Bowls!! Who invented that idea in the middle of winter? These Harriettes decided it was going to be “keep the feet warm bowls” and tried in vain to keep warm. It all started when we left the warmth of inside the Cairns Bowls clubhouse wandered around Woree on a cold and blustery winter’s night. Well cold for Cairns that is!! I think it was 18 degrees. We followed trail on the run, warmed ourselves up and certainly worked up a thirst, so headed back to the clubhouse for champagne and nibbles. Circle followed and more champagne. There were a few charges and a couple of returnees. We all then ventured out onto the green to try our hand a bowling. Well some of the Harriettes were good with the black balls and some of the Harriettes should have stayed away from the black balls. I think there’s moral there somewhere!!. It made for a good laugh as we discovered hidden talents in some of our Harriettes. A good time was had by all. We recommend the Cairns Bowls club to anyone looking for a pleasant night out. ON ON

WigglesRun Report - run 66
A happy go lucky group of Harriettes rocked up to Wiggles abode in Brinsmead. We wandered the streets of Brinsmead high and low and though all the dark back bush blocks. The pack was spread out from one end of Brinsmead to the other. After huffing and puffing all uphill we finally found the wonderful drink stop. We were so excited that most of the pack ran all the way home.
Charges were aplenty. We enjoyed the company of a couple of visitors and virgins so they were duly recognized. Lots of yummy nosh and a great night.

No Knickas SPOOKY Not Yet run - Run report for run 60
The large pack turned up to the noey maison up Summerhill Drive and even steeper up onto Soloman place. It's a hash trail just getting there. It was the Halloween you have when you’re not having Halloween So the trail went where No Knickas usually likes to set interesting trail except this time it involved lots of loops. It looped here and there and looped back on itself and looped up and round. Funnily enough it matched the description about it having a few loops. The runners got lost following a loop and the rest of the pack looped to the drink stop and eventually on home. Once back at the On On No Knickas promptly left herself open for a charge of letting Not yet actually set the run .Before the circle even began we admired all the plants and pussy cats..
The GM Crunchie Crack got the circle started with lots of charges. There were those Harriettes dressed appropriately and those who weren’t, scoring more charges. The matching hats from No Knickas, Mofl, Twisty and Koty, and Handbrakes mask (stolen from the children) topped it all off. No Knickas had the nibbles on hand and a good night was had by all.

DUCHESS’ DELIGHTFUL DRAIN DAWDLE AND SHAMTEURS GATHERING - Run report for run no 59

A large gathering of hat-attired-Harriettes arrived at Duchess’ final hosting of ‘angels’ before her departure to Bundaberg. Tasty nibbles of cheese and pickled onions were the energy starters before the pack followed Duchess across the road up to the first drain experience. This pack of walkers wearing an assortment of hats startled a few of the locals along the way but we all trudged along, some under and some over the first ‘hurdle’ of an under-road trail, then on through the green paddocks of inner Brinsmead toward the drink-stop. STOP it was, because although the trail arrows had been very clear up until then, no further trail could be found!!!! After much dithering and to-ing and fro-ing a small pack consisting of Twisted Sista, Nom-de-plume, Tutti Frutti and Maid Marion decided to head for Loridan Drive and walk home – they were duly charged by Plaything for being shortcutters. Duchess was charged for being late to the drink stop; Tutti Frutti charged Crunchie Crack for looking too good in her matching attire; Twisted Sista charged Bouncer for diverting trail – funny I always thought this was called shortcutting! Mole charged Skiddy for taking Weed camping away all weekend and losing his voice somewhere??!!??
We celebrated two virgins attending….Skiddy and Needles first Harriettes run. Duchess awarded a lovely prize to Bouncer for her originally designed ‘angel’ hat, and we thanked Ursula for helping Duchess prepare super nosh. The Townsville 1800 run was briefly discussed, and our 5th birthday celebratory run, to be held in November was mentioned. Thanks to Duchess and although we will all miss you from our happy ‘angel’ pack, we wish you and Screwer good luck in your new surroundings. On, on………..Tutti Frutti

Ole’ AND MOLe’S LAZY LUNAR LOPE  - Run report for run no 58

A delighted pack appeared at Ole`s open house full of anticipation and eagerness. The pack welcomed virgin Harriett Hiroko and long lost Harriett Route with tipples of champers. Crunchy and Betty led the pack calling trail through Earleville .Slowly climbing up Barnes street and through the wild and raging back burning slopes of Earle Hill .Coughing and spluttering Wiggles and Route fought through the smoke and found trail onto Dejarlais Street. The pack admired the new pedestrian access bridge along said street until trail turned right into Karwin street and from there in to the unknown of suburb of Bayview and its hidden parks therein. Finding the drink stop the pack tucked into the chocky bikkies and cool Ribena.
On home along Comet Street to cries of OOOHS and AAAHS as the fullest full moon appeared. Down Grannadilla street to home and more bottles of champers.
A myriad of charges. Notably No Nickers for being late. Betty for forgetting Anne is now No-way. Hiroko for pretending to be a virgin and taking so long to return to the hash after hashing in previous life. Bobcat for forgetting to turn up to the hash ball. Route for no hash attire. Tooty, Mofl and prickle for low profiles. More champers and charges later, the evening flowed and all enjoyed .Wiggles told her famous Wiggle joke (always a goodun)

Run report for run no 57 - Mofl’s motley meander
It was a crispy night in Brinsmead for a Harriettes run. The good size pack started off up the cul-de-sac and wandered aimlessly in and out of the streets and parks of Brinsmead. We were under strict instructions from Hare Mofl to follow our own trail and not get mixed up in any other hash clubs’ previous trail. We dutifully did, there were a few good checks and we even managed find the drinks stop. It was on home with a bit of a twist and then up the hill and back along the pathway to the circle. Some wonderful nosh followed many charges, with reports back from Harriettes Inter hash tour and the post lube in Vietnam. Next month’s run will be Duchess’s last Heavenly Harriettes run as they leave for pastures down south. The November run will be the 5th birthday celebration run
Well done Mofl. On On

Run report for run no 56 - Handbrake’s handy ‘hood tour
The ever faithful Harriettes turned out Handbrakes Mooroobool meander, even though many of the regulars were away in Kuching at Interhash. The trail was easily spotted and well marked in and around the delightful sights of Mooroobool and Whitfield. We kept meandering until we thought we were so far from home we wouldn’t make it back when a vision of the drink stop appeared in the dark at the bottom of McManus St. Just as well, as we were running out of breath due to the marathon set by Handbrake. After the refreshments it was back ‘on keg’ the shortest way home. A good spread of roast chicken and fresh garden salad greeted us back at the circle. Spread’em added an international flavor with her mum rolling up as the sacrificial virgin!! Handbrake rated a high score for such a long trail and many charges followed Well done ……………..
